Online Application Process started for 2007-08

The online application for 2007-08 has gone live and is available at www.isb.edu/isbapp or can be visited through the link www.isb.edu/pgp  - apply now.

A few improvements have been incorporated, but most of the earlier processes remain unchanged.

  1. Application Fee:  Application Fee is INR 2,000 or USD 50 and has to be remitted online using a VISA/MASTER Credit Card. The applicants also have an option of using the ICICI Net Banking option.

  1. Application: All changes/editing have to be effected prior to final submission and once submitted, no changes are possible nor can they view the application. They can only save a copy of the print view on their system (currently in word format). Once the pdf format is developed, it could be saved in the system as a pdf doc. (we are still working in it). Once submitted, they will be able to see the status of the application from the same link.

  1. Resume: Applicants need not fill in any resume template; the system will generate a resume on its own based on the details filled in by the applicant.

  1. Recos/Evaluations:  The format is same as last year. A Soft copy of the Evaluation Form is available as a part of the application. The applicant has to fill in his details and forward a soft copy/hard copy to the evaluator. The evaluator in turn has to fill it, sign and seal it in an envelope and forward it back to the applicant who should forward these forms without opening the seal along with his/her application.  Effectively, it is the hard copy evaluation that we will be accepting.  A Minimum of two and maximum of three forms are acceptable.

  1. Transcripts/Mark sheets: Photocopies of mark sheets and certificates or transcripts from class X (not from class XII) are required as part of the application.

  1. Diploma – As usual diplomas will not be considered as equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree (we have stopped using the term “Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent” in the admissions criteria). - Eg., Hotel Management - DHMCT or Master’s Licence Certificate for Marine Engineers. However, we will consider CA, ICWA, CS, AMIE etc.,

  1. Scholarship Form: Essay, Pay-slip/s, Tax returns have to accompany the Scholarship form in order to process the same.

  1. Application material has to reach in one single packet to avoid any confusion and the entire material should reach the Admissions Office by the specified deadlines. Applications without required attachments will be considered invalid and will not be processed.

  1. Online application Status: Status of the application will be online and available at the same link www.isb.edu/isbapp .

  1. Application Help: In case of trouble with the application, please write to apphelp@isb.edu .

Please write to admissionsresponse@isb.edu , if you need any further details or clarifications.

Hello -

Thank you for this blog. This blog does not seem to have very regular visotors, but I am definitely going to visit this more often.

For current ISB students, I would like to know what the life at ISB is like, how the faculty are, and what kind of teaching methods are used.

Any comments are appreciated!

Hey Mihir.. this is Mahesh from the current batch.. About the life at ISB... its hectic.. but just lke any other work place or school.. you always keep cribbing but start missing it the moment you are out of it.. ISB is a bit different though.. my friends here have already started saying that they would hate to leave this place.. though I am like, let this hectic schedule get over and i would be the first to go on a loooooong vacation.. :) Faculty... obviously you can expect each and every faculty to be world class and I had that in mind when i came here but was surprised to see almost all of them having amazing depth of knowledge and research.. but when it comes to exam, I feel they can be a bit lenient.. ;) teaching methods vary from subject to subject... every subject is taught in a way that would make it easiest to understand.. marketing and strategy using case studies.. optimization using real life quantitive scenarios.. etc. etc.. I hope you got the idea.. with such a long comment.. :) my email is mm.shenoy@gmail.com if you have any other questions..
